How to get rid of moles naturally

If you are a gardener, the chances are that sooner or later you will encounter a mole. It is only a matter of time. Yes, these hardworking creatures aerate the soil which is good… but if your lawn or garden looks like one big mole pile then it is time to do something about it.

And what can you do to scare moles away? You have probably heard about various ultrasonic scarers or mechanical windmills (often made from PET bottles). Well, sometimes they work and sometimes they do not. Your best bet is to “attack” mole’s most developed sense to scare it away, and that is the sense of smell.

Bet both on vinegar and kerosene

If you want to scare moles away use something that smells very bad to them especially, strong and aromatic substances. For example, kerosene will serve you well. Dilute it with water (1 litre of water and 100 ml of kerosene), soak various pieces of fabrics in the solution and put one piece on all mole piles.You can do the same with vinegar or perhaps with heating oil.

If you are a smoker, you may use your unhealthy habit and make it useful this time. Put cigarette buts inside moles and hope for the best… Another good idea is to use chili peppers. Use a small spoon and pour crushed chillies in each mole. Moles really hate this.

You can also try various herbs. Mint and wormwood are very aromatic so, they should do.Use a handful of these herbs and press them into molehills. These methods may require little patience, but you will win at the end!
