Yeast, ash, or bay leaves: Tomato seedlings will thank you
A bountiful tomato harvest is the dream of many gardeners. It doesn’t always work out. Poor-quality ingredients are often the main reason for failure. Seedlings need to be properly cared for and given everything they need. Proper and abundant nutrition is especially important for them. Therefore, in the following lines, we will focus on fertilizer that can be made from ingredients that we all have at home. It’s not complicated, and you’ll get really strong tomato seedlings that will develop into high-quality plants full of sweet fruits.
Yeast contains lots of vitamins
Buying yeast is the least of your worries. A small cube of yeast from the supermarket can literally work wonders. But if you only have dried yeast in a bag at home, don’t despair. You can use that too. Mix the packet of yeast with a liter of water and leave it at room temperature in an open container. The mixture will ferment for one day. The resulting liquid will become the basis for our fertilizer. Mix it with water in a ratio of 1:3. Then you can water the seedlings. This will provide them with copper, vitamins D and B, as well as iron and other substances.

Bay leaves are in every kitchen
Without a doubt. This wonderful ingredient goes well with many dishes. Tomatoes also love bay leaves. They provide them with vitamins A and B, as well as iodine, potassium, and manganese. They also protect seedlings from mold. The ideal method is to blend the leaves thoroughly into a powder and gradually add it to the soil around the tomato seedlings. If you wish, blend 20 leaves and mix them with water. You will have an excellent liquid fertilizer for evening watering.

Ordinary ash as a miracle
Many people heat their homes with stoves, and ash is traditionally thrown onto the compost heap or sprinkled on flower beds. But it also has a place in the home with seedlings. When mixed with compost, there’s no question about it. Mix the mixture into the seedlings themselves. Among other things, they will gain potassium, calcium, magnesium, and phosphorus. They will simply grow like weeds.
