How to take cuttings from older geranium plants?
Older geranium plants undoubtedly do not have the vitality they should have. They may look their best, but they often stretch out and are attacked by various diseases and pests. Cuttings are not difficult. We need to focus on sufficiently mature shoots. These are certainly not difficult to find. Cut them so that there are two to three pairs of good quality mature leaves on them. Remove the bottom pair of leaves so that the plant can root comfortably. This can be done by placing them in water. The plants should sprout roots. An ordinary aspirin tablet is ideal for supporting this process. In 14 days, you will be able to plant new plants in your window box. It worked for us.
Not all geraniums can be propagated this way
