Easy to use

Almond flour is the ideal substitute for white wheat flour but many people are afraid that using almond flour will ruin the recipe. If you replace white flour with whole wheat flour you need to adjust the proportions and ingredients to make the result soft and fluffy, right? Well, that does not fully apply to almond flour – you can use one part white flour and one part almond flour and you will be fine.

However, if you decide to completely replace the white flour, you need to add a bit of baking powder. Almond flour is heavier and the dough might not rise properly and may be less fluffy.

Benefits of almond flour

Okay but why should you use almond flour? Well that is an easy answer. It is much healthier. Almond flour is full of vitamin E, iron, riboflavin and calcium, but also potassium and magnesium. It is also a great source of fiber and complex carbohydrates. People suffering from diabetes and gluten intolerance can enjoy it. Last but not least, it is very tasty.
