Make great fertilizer from cut grass
The fall is not about having fun with kites! If you are a gardener it is mainly about getting some work done. Fallen leaves are probably everywhere and you need to do some cleanups and remove all that extra stuff, including cut grass.
Cut grass and fallen leaves are great for compost. If you do not have a composter you need to create one. Soil is preparing for a difficult winter and you need to help, but do not burn green waste. Yes, some people do that we know, but here is a better way to deal with green waste
You do not need an actual composter
Just rake your garden and make a pile from all leaves and grass cuttings. Here is a tip how to get rid of leaves and grass clippings. You do not need a composter or any other devices. Simply make a compost pile. You can throw larger branches, plant debris or even extra leaves into special containers that counties provide for this purpose.

Burning green waste is illegal in many places. You may hurt your eyes and respiratory tract but unfortunately, there are still many who ignore the ban and many people still do not have any other way to get rid of green waste. Smoke in villages is an annoying reality that we have to deal with.
Composting in plastic bags
Green waste is an excellent source of nutrients. One way to make compost is to buy plastic bags and put all green waste and grass in bags and make compost. No burning. You may add organic manure and food scraps such as banana peels, coffee grounds and other organic “stuff” from your kitchen.
So, now you have several bags. Tie the top but make holes in the bag to allow oxygen. Compost needs oxygen. Once a month, shake the bag well and turn it upside down to make sure that composting process continues evenly.
