Goldenrod is beautiful and healing

Goldenrod or woundwort (Solidago virgaurea) is a yellow-flowering herb and belongs to the Asteraceae family. It probably got its name thanks to its long stem with a big flower on top. Goldenrod is a long-lived perennial and offers many medicinal effects. Yes, it will make your garden beautiful but if you dry its flowers you may use them as a treatment support for:

  • asthma,
  • skin rashes,
  • urinary tract pain,
  • support hydrations,
  • various inflammations.

Rhus typhina is a tree native to North America. In the fall you will admire beautiful and colourful leaves. But be careful – if you get one, you should know that it spreads really quickly and that may be a problem. If you want to control it, grow it in containers.
