Origin of “Coca-Cola”

It comes from southern Europe and the regions of Asia Minor. Here it grows wild but wormwood was cultivated in the ancient Egypt and in Rome too. People of the Middle Ages liked wormwood and took good care of it, such as the abbess Hildegard who considered it to be the best herb. Today, it grows all over the world.

How should you use wormwood?

Different people prefer different methods. If you just want to a few pieces to add aroma to your drink, pick a young part. Various tinctures or liqueurs are made from fresh leaves and stems. You may also dry wormwood. Expect slightly bitter taste typical for wormwood. If you are using dry wormwood do not to exceed 3 g per day and 1 g per one single dose.
