How to get a huge raspberry harvest? All you need is rice
Are you also looking forward to a bountiful harvest of sweet red berries? Raspberries are literally a treasure we can find in our gardens every year. They require proper care. Pruning raspberries and watering them regularly are especially important. But we mustn’t forget about fertilizing the raspberries, which is undoubtedly very important as well. There are many different ways to approach this. We’ll focus primarily on rice, which is an excellent helper. Plus, we practically always have it at home. It’s a dried staple that doesn’t spoil easily.
Why rice fertilizer, specifically?
There are several reasons. Rice contains a wide range of very valuable nutrients. Specifically, it contains:
– Calcium,
– phosphorus,
– potassium,
– selenium,
– manganese,
– starch,
– antioxidants, and B vitamins.
The combination of these nutrients is absolutely ideal, providing excellent nutritional value not only for people but also for plants—in our case, specifically raspberries. Rice fertilizer is excellent for their immunity.

Simple preparation of rice fertilizer for raspberries
It really isn’t complicated at all. You’ll need:
– a handful of rice,
– three cups of water,
– 1 tablespoon of sugar.
First, pour the rice into cold water. Let it sit for an hour. It’s a good idea to stir the mixture occasionally. After the specified time has elapsed, strain the rice. Add a tablespoon of sugar to the liquid. It will dissolve completely thanks to the stirring.
Fertilizer Dosage
Each raspberry bush requires 1 liter of rice fertilizer. Alternatively, you can also use rice flour at a ratio of 1 teaspoon of flour to 1 liter of water. This fertilizer is perhaps even easier to prepare than the classic rice fertilizer.
Tip: Do not throw away potato peels. They are useful. Fertilizer made from them is free.
