Cucumbers will grow like crazy. All you need is milk and yeast
Pickling cucumbers, salad cucumbers, snake cucumbers. It really doesn’t matter—all types of cucumbers are worth growing, and they’re definitely worth the effort. In any case, it’s a good idea to focus on the rules for growing them and on fertilizing them. Natural fertilizer can literally work wonders. We tried a fertilizer made from plain milk and yeast. It was very easy to make, and we had it ready in just a few minutes. The results were definitely worth it. We’ll go into more detail about making this fertilizer in the following paragraphs.
A simple two-ingredient fertilizer for cucumbers
Really. That’s all we’ll need. Specifically, we prepared:
– 1 liter of warm milk,
– 1 packet of dry yeast.
Simply pour the dry yeast into the warm milk and mix it thoroughly. It should then dissolve completely. Mix the resulting solution with 10 liters of water. If using only milk, dilute it in a 1:1 ratio.

How often and how should you water with the fertilizer?
Ideally, you should water in the morning, directly at the plant roots. As for frequency, we watered twice a week, spacing the applications as far apart as possible. The cucumbers are thriving, and we’re just waiting to see what the harvest will be like.
Milk has many uses in the garden
Undoubtedly. It’s not just a great component of plant fertilizer. It’s a great helper against pests. It repels aphids, mites, and other small parasites that can significantly harm plants. It kills many insects because they lack the digestive system to process the large amount of sugar contained in milk. Milk helps fight mold and improves soil quality. It enriches the soil with minerals and vitamins. It may be hard to believe, but milk also works as an excellent disinfectant for garden tools. Among other things, it also helps prevent rust. Unfortunately, this is a common occurrence with garden tools.
