Forget about chemicals. You can get rid of moles naturally
May is the month when just about everything in nature has come to life. Unfortunately, this usually includes all sorts of pests. The classic garden pest, of course, is the mole. Getting rid of it isn’t easy at all. Many of us never even succeed. Sometimes, however, it doesn’t have to be that complicated, even without resorting to drastic methods. In the following lines, we’ll look at how to effectively drive moles away. There are quite a few alternatives.
Classic home remedies for driving away moles
The presence of a mole clearly indicates the high quality of your soil. But that is little consolation. You need to get rid of it somehow. There are undoubtedly a whole range of methods. We’ll summarize them very simply.
A fish head is disgusting, but it will rid you of the mole
Moles hate the smell of fish. But if you’re currently grilling trout, mackerel, or other fish, the scraps will serve you well. A fish head in a molehill can work wonders.
Citrus peels
Throwing citrus peels into molehills can also help keep moles away. Plus, the peels decompose, making them a purely eco-friendly solution.
Dog hair
This can work too. Getting some in a household with a pet is a piece of cake.
Crushed garlic
This method can work as well. The best approach is to rub the garlic on rags and place them in the holes.

Vinegar and its pungent smell
Moles also don’t particularly like the smell of vinegar. It can be used in the same way as the crushed garlic mentioned above.
Mole repeller made from a plastic bottle
This particular repeller can drive moles away very quickly. All you need is a standard rebar rod and a plastic bottle. Make several holes in the plastic bottle, leaving the plastic sticking out so the bottle creates significant wind resistance. Unscrew the cap and slide the bottle onto the rod. Any gust of wind will create a loud noise, which is guaranteed to scare the mole away. This way, we can be sure they’ll disappear from the garden.
