A dog is man’s best friend, and most of us cannot imagine our home without a loyal companion. When choosing a dog, it is important to consider your lifestyle and how the dog itself will behave. In other words, the breed matters a great deal. Some dogs are very calm, whilst others are incredibly energetic and can’t stand or lie still for a moment. So which dog breeds fall into the category of these so-called ‘naughty’ ones?

The Labrador Retriever takes the crown

This is the breed that a huge number of people have at home. It’s an incredibly sociable dog, but one with so much energy that it’s often almost impossible to handle. Letting it get bored isn’t exactly the best idea. You have to devote time to a Golden Retriever, take it out for walks often, and ideally have a large garden too. Golden Retriever puppies can chew through almost anything.

The Beagle is deceptive

It looks so incredibly sweet, sociable and calm. In reality, however, the Beagle is a master of escape. It can get through even the strongest and most reliable fence. This breed is also known for its obsession with food. Leaving any of your food unattended means you’ll never see it again.

The barking corgi

If you like the sound of a dog barking – which isn’t exactly common – then get a corgi. This breed won’t keep its mouth shut. It’s talkative, perhaps a bit too much so. Although it may seem like a calm dog, this isn’t the case. It’s very energetic and requires a great deal of attention. You have to tire it out properly; only then will it leave you in peace and fall asleep.

The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel: a notorious runaway

It’s much the same as a corgi. The moment you let your guard down, it’ll make a run for it. Otherwise, however, it’s quite calm and perceptive.

The tireless Jack Russell Terrier

A breed that loves to attack. It must constantly be on the move or chewing on something. If you leave it near an open shoe cupboard, you’ll end up with something you definitely don’t want. Your shoes will literally be torn to shreds. After all, the Jack Russell was bred primarily for hunting, so it’s hardly surprising.
