Did you buy some wilted dill? You can easily bring it back to life
Dill is one of the herbs commonly found in many gardens. It’s no wonder, since it has such a wide range of uses in the kitchen. Classic dishes featuring dill include dill sauce and kulajda soup. But dill can also be used in salads and many other dishes. Growing dill isn’t difficult, but often we don’t have it in the garden just when we need it. We have no choice but to go to the supermarket and buy some. Often, though, this dill has been sitting on the shelf for quite a while. So it wilts quickly. But there’s a fairly simple way to save it.
Dill in a jar lasts a long time
Without a doubt. Simply place the fresh dill you bring home from the supermarket into a canning jar. You don’t even need water, as you might think at first glance. The plant will stay fresh for a very long time in this environment. The process of preserving dill in a jar this way is simple.

It can stay fresh for up to three months
That’s quite a long time. Right after bringing the dill home from the supermarket, cut it into three equal parts.Place them in a jar that you’ve thoroughly washed and dried beforehand. Seal the jar tightly and put it in the fridge. Dill stored this way should stay fresh in the fridge for up to 3 months. You can use it at any time. Just open the jar and take out the amount you need.

Dill can also be preserved in other ways
That’s right. Many people traditionally freeze dill. In this case, it’s important to prepare individual portions of dill. If you freeze the whole bunch, it will form a large clump that’s very difficult to separate once you take it out of the fridge. Dill can also be dried. In this case, however, expect it to break into small pieces, leaving you with tiny fragments. Drying isn’t really worth the trouble; it’s better to buy dried dill in bags.
