Reishi mushroom has been used in Chinese medicine for ages
Reishi mushroom (Ganoderma Luciím), sometimes also called the “royal mushroom”, comes from the Far East and local folk medicine experts were kind enough and shared its wonderful health benefits with us.
There are many uses, and today you will find reishi mushroom in many food supplements, that intend to support immunity, much like vitamin C, zinc and other beneficial elements. Here are few uses for you to try.
Chinese medicine
If you want to know why Chinese masters recommend this mushroom you will learn that it was usually prescribed to replenish life energy called Chi and to relieve cough and asthma symptoms. It is also added to remedies used to treat dizziness, insomnia, palpitations and shortness of breath.

There are also people who recommend reishi against hypertension, high cholesterol and cardiovascular diseases, possibly also for liver and kidney diseases. But the list goes on. Chronic fatigue syndrome, stomach ulcers and viral infection are also treated with this mushroom. This includes the “ordinary” flu and even the infamous corona virus or HIV/AIDS. Reishi mushroom is often prescribed as a treatment for shingles (as a pain reliever) andeven to support cancer treatment.
Beta – glucan strengthens immunity
Natural substances contained in reishi include beta-glucan, which is very important for rejuvenation treatments. It strengthens the immune system by increasing the number of macrophages and T lymphocytes. Supposedly, reishi mushroom can lower blood sugar too. However, the most common use is to strengthen the immune system.
