Vinaigrette or tobacco do not work well against aphids. Try something else

Unfortunately, it looks like this year is very friendly to aphids. You may find aphids everywhere, not only on roses and green plants, but also on trees and shrubs. Yes, there are many “guaranteed” treatments that should help you to get rid of aphids. These often include natural mixtures utilizing tobacco, soda, cloves, cinnamon and similar herbs. However, sometimes even much-feared vinegar does not work well. We have a new type of solution for you that will help you to get rid of aphids.

Regular mouthwash

Yup. A mouthwash is the basis of this home remedy and you can make it very easily. Mix water with mouthwash in a 1:1 ratio and add a few drops of liquid soap. Try to spray plants early in the evening and make sure that no rain is coming after spraying. You do not need any specific type of mouthwash. Use any mouthwash you have. Of course, the brand does not matter either.

This home remedy will help you with other problems too

You may use this homemade solution to eliminate other fungal diseases. It works especially well with geraniums. Only apply it locally to the affected areas and the fungi should disappear quickly. Do you need a fertilizer for your lawn? Well, mix water and mouthwash in 3:1 ratio and add beer. Now you have an excellent lawn fertilizer and your lawn will thank you.

Insect repellent

We all have to deal with annoying insects during warm evenings. Here is a solution that will help you out. Use the same solution you made before and add eucalyptus oil to it. Spray it around the area where you sit to repel annoying insects. You may also apply the solution (diluted) directly to your body and no insect will find you attractive. A mouthwash repellent will also discourage your cats from biting your houseplants .
