Spring tree spraying under scrutiny. Prevention makes sense
Spring is here. The calendar confirms it. If you haven’t started gardening yet, it’s definitely time. Of course, everything should be handled with the utmost deliberation, but some tasks have definitely had their time. For example, such spring sprays can already be applied without any problems. That is why we are focusing on them in this article. We will look at spring spraying as a prevention from a number of angles.
Spring spraying as prevention
Exactly. It is certainly not an obligation that is necessary and indispensable. If we don’t spray in spring, nothing much will happen. However, it works as a great prevention and your trees certainly deserve it.
When is it worth spraying fruit trees?
Ideally, we need to wait for a day and night when it is no longer freezing. The daytime temperature should be at least between 5 and 7 degrees Celsius. There should also be no wind and, of course, no rain. In the first case, the spray would be everywhere but on the tree, and in the second case the spray would not have the desired effect. But spring offers plenty of sunny days, so this is not a problem.

What problems can be avoided with spring spraying?
Several different diseases and problems can be dealt with in advance. Classically these are:
– fungal diseases,
– scab,
– downy mildew,
– scabies, scabies, ringworm,
– aphid eggs.
Sprays should be selected individually according to need.
Copper-based products are ideal.
That’s right, copper is excellent as a preventative against both bacteria and mould. However, oil sprays are also excellent and can deal with many pests that are still dormant. Sulphur products are suitable for weevils.
Beware of mistakes when applying sprays
Beware of spraying in bright sunshine. It dries very quickly and the buds can burn. They are irreparably damaged.
Other mistakes relate to spraying in the wind and rain, which we have already mentioned above.
