Avoid cucumber leaf yellowing. Easy solution
Do you love cucumbers? You certainly do but as any gardener you probably prefer your own home-grown, right? However, to make your own cucumbers best, they need to have the right size and taste and there are few issues that may prevent your cucumbers from becoming the best. Unfortunately, very common ailment is leaf yellowing which occurs due to several reasons, but it may be solved relatively easily.
Improper or insufficient watering
Temperatures outside are really high these days and that is not good for cucumbers. You need to water about every other day. If the heat is really bad, you need to water every day. Watering should be done in the evening and the water temperature should be between 20 and 25 degrees. If you do not follow these recommendations you had better start following them.

Insufficient light
Do your cucumbers have enough light to grow?If not, their leaves will turn yellow. A good idea is to perform a light cut to make room for light, or remove some nearby plants if they cast shadows. Cold nights can also be unpleasant and cucumbers do not like it. If you are expecting a cold night , use a non-woven fabric to cover them.
Cucumbers need plenty of nutrients
Cucumbers, or any other plant, cannot survive without sufficient nutrients. If you do not want to use commercial fertilizers, make fertilizers that our grandmothers used. Making them is easy. Place a loaf of bread in water and add 2 tablespoons of iodine. Let the mixture sit overnight and then add 10 litres of water.
Water cucumbers with this fertilizer twice a month.

Pests and moulds
Pests that suck the juice from leaves are particularly bad. If you “have” one of those, cucumber leaves will turn yellow and dry up. Another very bad ailment is mould. If you discover mould, remove yellow and dried leaves as soon as possible to prevent mould spread. Here is how to make a simple spray against mould. You need one tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide and one litre of water. Hydrogen peroxide is an antiseptic that suppresses development of diseases.
Pour the mixture into an atomizer bottle and apply. Once a week is enough, especially when cucumbers are directly exposed to sunlight. Another great spray against mould is a milk spray. Mix 40% milk and 60% water. Apply once every 10 days.
